Description

Located just off the M1 at junction 36/35a and situated within 26 acres of picturesque formal gardens and woodlands, Wortley Hall invites you with a warm Yorkshire welcome to relax in comfortable accommodation.  This 18th Century Grade II listed building now consists of 55 ensuite bedrooms, 3 self-catering cottages, unique character dining rooms with original Renaissance style ceilings, two licensed bars which serve both lunch and dinner, plus a 2 AA Rosette awarded a la carte restaurant “The Ruddy Duck” serving locally sourced produce.

It’s the perfect venue for a short break but also a wonderful venue for weddings, conferences and special events. The hall prides itself on being part of the local community and many family celebrations are held here including christenings, baby showers, wedding anniversary dinners and birthdays. The terrace overlooking the stunning formal gardens is an ideal place to sit and have a morning coffee, afternoon tea or a light lunch.

Originally the ancestral home of the Earl of Wharncliffe Wortley Hall is now a non-profit run organisation and a member of the Co-operative Union. This is a grand venue steeped in history and its heritage and values are still strong aspects of its identity to the current day.
